SM, they were sent a week ago. The seller has officially declared them lost.

Marty, still in LA stuck here until end of thursday but trip is going really well so far. I bought eggs through a seller I found on eBay. I talked to them for a while on phone and got good vibe. They are being shipped from Sacramento, so hopefully it won't be problem.

I love the pens when they'er new.... and still love them later if they'er easy to clean

They do need more poultry smiles!

I've got at least 4 internal pips now I can see from the outside of the incubator. I'm going to run the humidifier in there and open it up later and turn my eggs and run the flashlight over the top quick and see exactly how many. Good thing it's beautiful out and everyone else is outside full time now, although these guys won't be staying very long. The goslings and calls have finally figured out to follow me, so I walked them to the pool today. They all swam, and the goslings even played and zoomed around underwater. They never do in the tub. It took them no time to figure out how to use the steps in and out of the pool, the 8 week olds still can't. I put them in there and they'll swim, but won't get in on their own.


Yay!!! for babies swimming, I'm afraid mine are still too little for swimming

Yay I'll get to watch you guys go through lock down and hatch! I've got goosey due dates of the 18,24& 29
with rabbits due the 18 and 19th

I have LD all this month too ! I get to hatch with ya all
I have LD on the
14th, 15th, 19th, 23rd, 26th, 27th, 28th, & 29th
& a few beginning of April
BUT thats it !!!
(besides my Cayugas I still am waiting on

, and Some Chukars in transit! but those are presale chicks)

TODAY I put 17 polish eggs down, and have quail popcorn all over my hatcher as we speak, I beleive I have now went well over 100 jumbo quail that hatched

But, I have bad news.... Bobby passed away last night...

.... I guess he wasn't strong enough to make it... I miss him

They are CRAZY little things! they are just teeny tiny & just the size of Popcorn

THEY zoom everywhere & are fast little boogers. I have never had any issues hatched quail, eyeheart hatches them to, and Marty I believe. I am sure there are more on here that do

Hey jazz, still waiting for pic from Cayuga seller. She emailed me last night saying she would get me pic today, but nothing yet. She also said she could send 6 out on thursday, and also had jumbo pekins and magpies laying. Tracking says eggs supposed to arrive tomorrow. Hubby is on the lookout for them.

I like your rule. I almost never help, unless they are expensive purchased eggs, and even then, not if they don't pip. I know what to do, I just don't do it. I hate to get emotionally tied to a baby that may not make it. It depresses me big time.

Hi all!

Right now I'm just hatching new stock, and new breeds. I do my ducks starting in May, so babies don't neccessarily have to have their little stinky messy bottems inside. Here in Kansas, it goes from winter to summer like overnight. Ditto fall. Not much medium cool weather here.

My daffodils are blooming all over the place. It got warm so fast though, I didn't get crocus or grape hyacinth. Oh well.

I set my sebbie eggs yesterday. Today I should get silkies and pheasent eggs. Then, no new eggs until after easter.

(Yeah, right)

I'm pretty upset with myself for pipping for Pocket. I think I should have left well enough alone. Poor little thing is half the size of the others and still can't walk even with all the attention and help we've been giving her. Hobbling her legs together just made her stick both of them out behind her body. Now her legs are taped to her body in the laying down position. I don't know how much more of this I can take.

I'm not going to go out of my way to save another duckling who can't pip. Not after this. I don't need a flock of special needs babies.
