Sorry! I did somehow miss that!

I'm SO EXCITED for you! The dewlaps looks SO VERY AMAZING.

Last night, DH went and got stuff togather to make me more portable bird fences (I used 10 x 10 x 4' cages that we move around). He says we're gonna hatch some of them beg neck geese next. Says they remeind him of his grandpa! LMAO

Yes! Hippies have Pee Pee's! And they LOVE to use them!

that Uno pic was an accident. When I took quail pics, i caught my daughters poster in the background. I just thought it would be a cool pic with Uno, soo..... What makes it worse is this:

Now, having a heard of volkswagens, including Granny (the van) doesn't make one a hippie. Having black light art doesn't make one a hippy.

Of course it doesn't mean one isn't a hippie.... LOL

Hey QJ - do hippies have pee pees???

You thinking I wasn't talking to you....

I'm guessing he's talking about Dewlaps?

Thats great! The broccoli and cabbage I planted late in fall and mulches have grown a bunch, after such a mild winter. Planted lettuce, carrots, and peas. I'm not digging any potatoes! (We don't eat them much, but I love new peas and potatoes)

Your not the onlyone interested, right Julie???

Yep. I think I may try growing potatoes in feed bags this year. So not digging any up. Or find some old tires and try some that way.

I would have waited another couple weeks on the strawberries, but Gurnsey sent them to me yesterday. I ordered them in like October or something.

we went from snow to 82 last several days. go figure. Kansas.
I think some natives maybe appropriate. Honeysuckle should do well, or else trumpet vine is also good. Want seeds???

Its funny, all the crocus, hyacinth, and daffodil all blooming at once. The alliums are hurrying to catch up!

I have honeysuckle all over the fence I've been trying desperately to kill for ages. Since I can't do that, might as well try planting it on purpose where I acturally want it, lol.

Hi all,

Today is day 29 for my rouen egg. I saw a lot of movement on day 27, but no pipping. I haven't seen a lot of movement in the last 24 hours, and I am starting to worry. If nothing happens today, what should I do?

Mine moved a few days before hatching, then nothing until they were pipping/zipping.

Morning all

Morning!

I candled and I saw that the air cell has been ruptured, some part of the duckling is in there. I should have taken a picture, but I was too nervous and didn't think of it until now. It kind of looked like this:

I saw movement, and I felt it kick or move in my hand while I was candling. Should I break the shell? Or leave it alone?

That's good, be expecting external pips soon.

The tire method TOTALLY WORKS! Just remember, when they stick up 12 -18 inches, put on the next tire and fill it up with soft compost and peat moss. They are much easier to get out.

My DH (only married 1.5 years) recycled all of my potatoe tires. So, no potatoes this year. I dug enough potatoes as a kid to keep my happy till rapture. (there were 11 in our house)

There are empty wooded lots behind and to the side of us. I found a whole pallet of cinderblocks which I made hubby move for me to make an apron around the run and steps for the pool. There's a whole bunch of tires back there too, so I figured might as well do the potato thing too.

I just heard from the lady who wants ducklings. She said she wants 6, hoping she'll decide to take 2 more then all my ducklings will be sold. For a few days until these next 4 pop out at least. She'll be here this evening.
