Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Amazing as it may be.... both eggs I internally pipped appear to be improving. The blood on the one I pipped 14 hours ago is receding and the yolk sak is getting smaller too. Its heart is pumping strong. I do not have to strain to see breathing/pulsing on the one I pipped a couple of hours ago.

Babies are doing great. I have 5 BEIs that are crawling all over the incubator. I will move them out sometime today. I also have 11 others that are suppose to be Pekins and Runners but it looks like the males I sold him were quite busy. There is only one or two that look like Pekins the rest are all different looking but beautiful. I may just have to keep some of them..

Yup! And he is one Hoooooorny little thing. Good Lawd! Just started this week. He's chasing the mallard around.. only she's quicker than him and has flying abilities. Very comical.

Well, I can now see the beak on the one I pipped this morning. It is at the very pointy tip of egg and trying to work its way towards the hole. I think it is breathing ok, but it may be sucking down blood that is sitting in egg. I am debating on trying to prop it up at a slight angle, but I really don't want to open the bator as keeping humidity up is critical.

Hwey ChicksOMy.... I love the BEIs. They are really healthy. I lost one. It had pipped at the wrong end and I wasn't able to help it in time. But the others are all healthy, Once they are drier I will get pics of them
