DC, Do you have your horse's foot bandaged up? And is he lame on it right now due to the injury?

Yes...wrapped tight, but it has continued to seep blood all day. The vet said it probably would, but not to remove his bandage for a couple of days. He's very lame, and he's been laying down a lot today, taking weight off of it.

Sorry, that was really vague. I think that helping very little and finding a happy medium on when to intervene or not seems to be helping everyone the most.

So, should I get more from the same lady? Or should I not? I'm gonna wait anyway, cause I'm not setting ONE MORE EGG till i have a thermometer/hydrometer that is correct.

I just set 8 eggs. So fingers crossed that these are actually fertile.

No eggs. (Yea, right???)

I have 15 Anconas, some poofy top ducks (what are they called again?) and some Indian runner babies. My mom is going to visit my sister, who lives about 15 miles from Estes hatchery. She's picking them up. My babies hatch this coming Wednesday, and for once, I'm not on duty!

It'll be the easiest hatch ever.

Iain, sorry, didn't see that! I need to call them again, becasue she never did e-mail me. She said they'd be good though.

I took the 8 eggs out of there pen to see. If I get 3 eggs, I'll know for sure.

Dutch: Welsh harlequins have a sexlinked bill. Males have dark, females light. Every baby had a bill as black as night.

If I plan on getting more, I'm gonna send extra money, theres no way I'm taking those eggs, and only paying for shipping. I would feel horrible.

My bad....I didn't know what breed they were and I was having a hard time picturing you sexing dead babies
