Sweetie, do not cull yet. Give it water with a dash of sugar and a drop of polyvisol (without iron). I have seen babies recover in the most amazing way with a little vitamin/sugar boost.

I had 5 Anconas duckies hatch yesterday. they all seem to be doing good.

right now, silver passed yesterday and now one of my babies that seemed fine and was absorbing now seems to have a really bad foot problem and is laying on it's side

what should i do? can it recover or should i cull it, to avoid suffering?

My goslings poop alot :/..... weird though, they don't poop nearly as much as my 2 runner babies did!

How is everyone?
 
(sniffle sniffle) poor baby duck! Poor you! I have no idea what to say to help your baby! I have never had this happen :hit

Bakin ~ If it is just since last night I would do the water boost for now, they have alot of goodies stored in their bellies at that age, that why they can stay in the hatcher for so long. I would wait for he/she to be more active, then decide ~ or mother nature will for you. Like the others said a few days at least, I am rootin tootin for this duckie! I mean it is not ike it is starving or in any pain

Its hard to see in the pic, but is the funky foot "complete"? I mean if you fan it out ?
