Mine took around 24 hours from that stage. Once they start getting stuck into unzipping its really pretty quick though - mine were less than an hour to unzip all the way round once they got started.

Inside the shell the sides almost look like paper

What does unzipping mean

Unzipping just means breaking through the shell in a circle - they turn a full 360 degrees in the shell and peck holes as they go. Then they pop the top of the shell off like a lid. Kind of like you'd do to a soft boiled egg.

The membrane is quite paper like. It will go yellow/brownish where it's been broken through - don't worry about that.
