They totally do that. They are sweet and sensitive, and then the early stages of puberty set it, and suddenly you have sullen teenagers. Hmm.... Seriously, you can't keep large birds without expecting a bit more wild to come out. Peacocks and turkeys, don't trust either. (I think you can maybe add guinea fowl to this list) Our one turkey is sweet, but she's stuck with chickens, and what is there to do but be sweet? I lock down several bourben reds on tuesday.

Its hard to eat buddies, so name them sunday supper, and be sweet anyway. I'd rather love mine up until they day they are taken for a meal, that feel like they had a crappy life and then got murdered. I just love them anyway, and make it extremely quick and as painless as possible. You'll never look back an regret a kindness, after all.
