That's a cool fish!
Yea but they are mean little buggers. Barely get an inch and a half but can terrorize and entire tank
I am the hatch queen!!!!

Seems like a lot of the really cool-looking fish are aggressive.

I took an Oscar from a friend in 5th grade who was moving. It ate everything in my tank, except the frog. The snail ate the frog. I don't do well with fish.

Yea all the interesting ones have bad behaviors. and oh no! Oscars can be quite the destoryers. I've never had one but used to raise Cichilds. After awhile I went back to semi aggressive because I couldn't deal with the constant killing and spawning. I've had TERRIBLE time with frogs too. I've tried frogs numerous times. Never been able to keep them alive

so, what doesn everyone have in the bator and under the hens?

I have turkeys and sebbies in the bator, but of the two sebs that spidered, only one is left.
we have an empty bator and 20 eggs under Fred due 6-2

the bunny "hatched" 8 babies last night and our other doe is due wed. Thinks are winding down.... now to get rid of 5 little geese

I just candled and out of 42 duck eggs I got 36 that have survived. I had let one of my pens of Rouens try and hatch but they just kept laying more eggs. Out of 3 nests I took out 60 eggs. Some of these were from 4-24 and they are doing good. I set them in the bator on the 7 th . June 1st will be lockdown!!! I can't wait to see how many more crested Rouens I get!!! And these will be out of my new blue Rouen drake that I get in the first part of April. I was hoping that myToulouse geese would lay but no eggs, may have to wait for next year :hit.

I currently have:

Due 5/24:
Indian Runner
Swedish
(these aren't looking too good, I only see two moving)

5/28:
Silkie (2)

5/31
Trout Runner
Silver Appleyard
Indian Runner
Silkie (1)

Set yesterday:
Silkie (10)
Lavender Bantam Ameraucana chicken (4)

Arriving next week:
White Runner

Will be setting one last batch of our ducks eggs at the same time I set the white runners.

Had something funny-ish happen tonight. I was going upstairs to water the 'lings one more time before bed. As I come up the stairs I hear all this peeping, I look through the door to see one of my 3 day old ducklings running around my floor. It escaped the baby brooder, jumped off the table and was running around the floor crying for its friends!

I used to raise Cichilds, too. The Africans are the worst, I think. If you didn't have the right recipe in that tank, you wouldn't have fish for long! The South American's were better, but touchy to raise. These days? A beta in a bowl works just fine, lol.

My little splash silkie chick has fisted feet....so prosthetic shoes were applied, lol.
Here is a picture of Butters...he's still in the dryer, lol. It's a clear dome, and right by the computer so I can keep an eye on him. And he can see me, too. Got him started on food and water. Still flipping, but gaining better control, fiesty and motoring around. Gonna be a very imprinted to me...oy!
I have 3 more Call eggs under a Call hen, that are due in 3 days.
14 eggs under the two blue fawn hens

Silly sister decided to add several eggs to the batch I gave the first hen, and they have split the eggs up and brooding together. Bad thing is after the first 9, the rest will stagger over 5 days

But hey...should end up with more babies!
I have 2 Call eggs under a silkie, due in 5 days.
Have the hatcher sanitized and ready for the next batch.
