Here's the thing... It's about a 4 inch long section that it's stuck too. Pretty much the top of her head to the nape of her neck. I'll try to snap a pic for you. I'm going in right now to try again.

I wonder if we hold some kind of BYC record for the longest thread. We started with SM's hatch and I know I've personally had 4 or 5 hatches since this all began!

Ok ya'all, I have a really weird question. I was making my girls some french toast and was looking at the yolks for bullseyes. About half of them were fertile, just like my eggs in the 'bator. Mister duck must only like one girl.

Anyhow, I saw a little white dot on one of the yolks that looked really odd. I had to pull it out of the yolk, it was imbedded in there. It was a piece of styrofoam.

My girls will nibble on styrofoam if they see it, I just thought they were biting not eating any though.

So now I wonder what the chances one of my little 2 ducks in the incubator are going to have styrofoam in their yolks, and if it'll affect anything. And how did it get from their stomach to their egg anyway?

No Way!! That is crazy!

Like she said.... No Way!! Styrofoam? ?? That is the strangest thing I have heard of being in an egg. I found a piece of straw in a yolk from my duck's eggs. How did you know they were fertile........... little red dot like blood?

There's a darker yellow ring around the white rings. Non fertile ones just have a small white dot.
I guess the styrofoam was better than finding something gross like a worm.

The very first egg I opened to bake with had a worm, just about puked. After that all eggs got broke in a bowl and the next day. I wormed the ducks witj I vermectin.

You know, it might not be a bad idea for me to go catch my girls and give them some safeguard just in case. Might as well do it now since the chickens are barely laying anyhow. I need a good candler, so I can start candling my eggs before I make deviled eggs.
