My girls gave up and just had fun with each other until the boy duck caught on

. I think he only likes one of the girls though, only half their eggs are fertile.

maybe those girls decided to turn the tables and shun him.

my snowy drake was super mad bcuz the bibbed drake pushed him out of the tub and took his girl.
and one of the hens that was watching yelled the whole time,
lol and all 3 boys ran circles around the pen afterword. im guessing its the equivilant of the human "way to go dude"

X2 cuddled my little peeps today and he HATED IT! But I only held him in my arms for about 1 minute. He was hungry. Then I went to hold a chick and mama silkie pecked me!

What a busy couple of days. It took me about 15 minutes just to read all I'd missed!
JulieNKC- You are the sweetest.
I've been thinking for a couple days... and I think what I'm going to do is trap that coon. My dad has a live trap he uses for his sweet corn. I know it will be back for the ducks. In fact, as I type this, my dogs are barking up a storm. So something is out there.
The dogs are sleeping outside til I have this resolved! Ok, so I'll trap it, and then figure out what to do after that. My dad says, "So.. what are you going to do if you get one?" Of course I answered, "Um... I'm going to call you and ask you what to do.. so be thinking about that."

My dad would just dispose of it, but I'm in the city. I have to be creative.

SM- I thought about contacting the animal control, but then decided against it. I don't want to bring attention to the fact that I have chickens and ducks. Not a hundred percent on the city ordinance.

I get my BIL's chicken coop this week. So I'm going to see how I feel after getting that over here. It's a real nice one. And BIG!

We have a 100 lb dog who pretects my ducks with his life! I found him in the fence laying with the ducks one morning.... Funny thing is that the gate was locked

Whew what a last 2 days. Have had nothing but family and kids here. Its nice but when you aren't use to having a bunch of kids around its rough. My niece and her son is staying again tonight because of my stupid son. Sometimes I think I got the wrong kid at the hospital. Is that being a terrible mom??? I do feel that sometimes. My son has killed off too many brain cells. He let the electric and gas get shut off in the house (lack of brain cells), and with the temps so low I had them stay here again. My son stays at his girlfriends house. Somtimes I would just like to slap him around and ask him what is wrong with him.

My baby duckies are losing their baby feathers. The littlest yellow one, the welsh harlequin is starting to get dark feathers in now.

I also tried to vent sex all the babies and it looks like I have all girls. That is if I did it right. I think its so hard to tell on these babies. I will try again in a few days.

Well I hope everybody has had a good Christmas. Is there any new hatchings coming up? QJ how is that baby doing and the other egg?
