the smallest amout you can get is 10 ducklings, OR 4 goslings. For those numbers its $16.00 for shipping. When your in the duckling price list area, at the top it will say shipping. Click that...

Mine down for the middle of march. But you can put ASAP. I didnt want them ASAP. Since im hatching and stuff.im gonna be busy. But whenever they come is fine with me.

Ohhhhhhh. I wish they would get an online ordering system. Kinda cool that it's old school. Just a little intimidating.

Yeah, I was shaking when I filled mine out... I was afraid I was gonna do it wrong

Oh sorry, the ducky in the picture. Something went wrong with it. And it started off so strong too. Weird.

Oh no. I wonder if she picked up a respiratory infection?

I don't know. I remember now when it was hatching that it was sticking it's tongue out a little. And I was thinking... "Is this weird?" But then it seemed to go back in. And when it drank it never opened it's mouth up like normal. It was almost like there was something wrong with the inside of it's mouth. Then when it couldn't eat, it got weak.

I hate it when that happens.

The other little egg is working on hatching. Actually it's just finally through the air cell (2 days later), so maybe a couple days and we'll have another baby.

Of course it will be awfully lonely without the other one. I like to hatch in pairs at least. My daughter will have to get overtime on her duck duty. Because this one will be real attached to people. Not that she'll mind.

I have to talk to my hubby and see if he'll let me order 10. I might have left that one little detail out last night.

He LOVED the silkys when I showed him. And of course the Cayuga's. But I can't get a Mallard from Holderreads.. that's the only thing. There isn't a hatchery where I can get every breed I want in one place.

Poo on that!

That's why I'm getting black east indies. That sheen is just sooo pretty.

I know someone who ships hatching eggs & chicks of the black east indies... I believe they are laying now?

How much are their hatching eggs? I'm kind of scared to try incubating them though, I've heard smaller ducks are harder to hatch and fertility can be not all that great. It would be fun to hatch my own though.

QJ- I'm sorry about your duckling.

These people look like they have some pretty nice birds. They have mallards, and aren't that far.

If you want lav orphingtons I can give you a mix of splash blue and lav. When mine start to lay that is might have to wait for a while... The still be quite young..

I have a lavender chick, and a black lav split chick (which means if bred to a lav it will have 75% lav and 25% black... I think.)

There you go with all that genetics talk again! So confusing. I wonder if there's a "poultry genetics for dummies" book I could get.

Hey thanks Julie. I had seen that add and was dragging my feet in contacting them. I'm taking this as a sign. I've emailed them. Thanks so much!
