I plan on showing my WH drake I have now

hes filled out beautifuly! Very nice markings! Hopeing I get a show quality hen or two from this order

I'm putting my daughter in 4H here in January. She would like to show a mallard, but I have no clue what I "good one" looks like.

Are you in 4h? How old do you have to be to start showing? My eldest is going to be 7 at the end of January. I'm hoping since the roman tufted are pretty small geese she'll be able to handle them. If not, hopefully my bei are ok. I'd like to get some better quality bei than ideals, but it's hard to find someone who'll ship and I've never seen them around here.

I was told you have to be 8. I can double check though and see if anything's changed. The 4H leader here told me that about a year and a half ago.

im not yet, my mom needs to call some people to get me in, IDK how old you need to be though... ... Your romans should be a fine breed for her. Did you know holderreads ships out adult pairs? He has BEIs, maybe you could think about ordering a SQ pair from him... Alsk, did you see in the duck section theres a 2012 breeders page. Maybe you could look fir a SQ bei breeder. Im pretty sure rosecomb ryne is in there....

InIowa you have to be in 4th grade to be in 4h. I am a 4h leader here in Iowa. My girls in the club show horses, dogs, rabbits. Then they enter photography, baking, sewing, agriculture, horticulture, painting and stuff like that. Onee of my girls was the county horse queen. I make them work hard on their projects. I'm a slave driver you know.

What does it mean to be a county horse queen? Sounds like something she put a lot of effort into! We don't have 4H here it I looked it up on Wikipedia.
