WOW! your black swedish has a nice bib! are you gonna keep it? who all are u keeping?

I had to go take pics...
SM- Here is my bator. As you can see, plenty of room. :) I may need to stick more eggs in.

The more eggs there are the more stable the temp ya know, they act kind of like heat sinks.

Love it. Now I see how you get them up on their ends too. I definetely will keep this pic handy.

It seemed easier than the cartons. The goose eggs were too big for egg cartons, and once I did that I kind of liked it so I stuck with it for the calls too since there are quite a few of them with wobbly air cells.

I am thinking about getting a dozen or more of each of these breeds

  • Pekin
  • Magpie
  • Muscovy
  • Golden 300
What do you think? I can get fertile hatching eggs for $12 a dozen....

I am keeping Dante, the swed, Libby the WH, Squishy the Pekin (who I named for 70, who I have not seen in forever) and I think that might be it out of these. remember I still have a crap load of eggs coming that I have to DECIDE which 3 or 4 TOTAL I am suppose to keep, yeah right as though that is gonna happen. I think I am keeping Robyn, my Buff,

Why on earth are you asking us? You know what we're going to say, lol. Get them!

She only lives an hour or so from me, and invited me to come out & get them. So I would feel comfy to buy from her...If not I know where she lives & will go gansta on her

THAT'S what I'm talking about! She's offering one day shipping on ebay. I think I might like that since they're coming from Washington. Might give me a better chance of them being in tact.

I have never had any of these breeds.... What can you tell me about them? is $12 a dozen a good price for any of these ?

Where do the babies go when they hatch though, there isn't any room for them, is there?
