Wow those are some pretty birds. Too bad I don't have an incubator and I am maxed out on birds.

Muscovys are great. They are really quiet. Right now I have 4 hens and 2 drakes but nobody is laying yet otherwise I could send you some. Muscovys also come in a lot of pretty colors.

I am thinking about getting a dozen or more of each of these breeds

• Pekin
• Magpie
• Muscovy
• Golden 300

What do you think? I can get fertile hatching eggs for $12 a dozen....

Can I jump in here? I am in a major hatching mode. I have my first egg on day 25 and 12 eggs on day 9. I'm completely OCD about the first egg as it is my first attempt at hatching... and seeing it has made it this far, I'd hate for something to go wrong now!

I KNOW that feeling. I'm going through a nervous hatching moment too.

What kind of eggs are they?

OH and the OCD will subside after about your 3rd hatch. It will never completely go away, but it will subside. LOL!!

The sole day 25 egg is a cayuga. Of the 12 eggs on day 9, 11 are cayuga and one is an ancona. I started the 2nd set with a dozen each. I am bummed that only one ancona is developing (as that is the breed I want... hubby wants the cayugas), so I bet I will be OCD about that egg too. lol

I lost my little runt Cayuga...... He was really small about half the size of the others. Was eating and drinking, walking last night before bed. Then when I woke up he fell asleep & never awoke

I also lost my silkie. Out of the hundreds of babies I have hatched only losing a couple is not bad I guess
