Candling Update:

3 Light Sussex
1 Lavender Orp = These 4 have dancing little babies in them.

A few are questionable. I see some blood lines in a couple, NOTHING in the blue laced Wyns.
One was completely dark. I've never seen that before. Gross! Looks like there was a baby in it. Ugh, I don't want to think about it.

I'm not worried about the Wyns. I have a good feeling about them. Technically this would be day 2 for them in the new bator.

They spent 2 days in the broken one, so I think they were salvageable.

Julie- I emailed duckie hottie guy for your friend. She PM'd me this afternoon.
Evelle- Is it my luck that only ONE lavender Orp is good? Or is it the curse of the lavender.

i just googled them .
that hatchery just takes you to anothersite, with only 1 pic.
be nie if they showed their own birds.

I'm thinking the same thing. I got some definition of the bird through wikepedia.

What is it about Cayuga's? My husband loves those too. Well, at least that's 2 of the cayugas. I'd be bummed too. And yes, you will be OCD about that egg!

You, DG, and Evelle have all had problems with your lav's. I'm thinking maybe there isn't enough genetic diversity in them or something and that they're weak. Except that DG's were split to other colors, so that should have helped. I wonder if anyone else with them has been having problems.

i only had one black lav split. and hes still alive.

I think the africans will be too big and loud, which is why I wanted the tufted. I'm waiting until tuesday, just in case, but then I think I'll order my babies from ideal.
