Good morning, duck hatching friends.

Today is day 26... day 27 starts at 6:00pm.  Still no sign of anything happening with my little cayuga egg.  I keep trying to tell myself that it will be ok if it does not hatch, as I have 12 eggs growing great on day 11 in my store bought bator.  But, it is killing me to not open the homemade bator and candle egg to see if beak has broken through air cell.  Ugh!

Be patient. You still haveu another day before actual hatch date. I was shocked with my last batch they hatched a week early!

Patience is a virtue I continually strive to attain, but times like this really tests me.

Unlike last year when it seemed like my area was a bullseye for snowstorms, we have gotten so little snow, you would never know I lived in a ski town! I am personally thrilled about not having snow, but I do feel bad for my neighbors who rely on it for their livelihood.

By the way, SM, what kind of horse do you have??

GUYS!!!!!! My Pregnant sheep had twin girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their so cute! AND they are mine!!!! theres something wrong with the sheep and their hooves are getting hurt, so we are takeing any lambs that are born so we can save their feet..... and i get to bottle them all!!!!

you need to atleast let mamma clean them off and them nurse for a few hours.
or they are more likely to get sick.

We've Nursed many baby lambs this way, and they were fine, and if they are on mama to long they will then not take a bottle. we also have some powdered Colostrum for them so they don't get sick. we are prepared

oh i didnt know you had powdered colostrum
and that not totaly true.
we have had to take week & 2 week old babies off of mom before
and they take to the bottle.
if they are hungry, they will eat.
