Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

The girl with all the pics of ducks in fences. I PM'd DG yesterday to see what she thought of their coloring and then today the same girl is in the Ancona thread.

It's amazing what pics you start remembering after being on Ebay all the time.

oh Nevermind.

QJ, we used to have aound 20 sheep (15 females and 5 males) but my dad gave up trying to save them, so we only have 5 females left. One of the Rams got lucky before he died ;) so now we have 5 adult females, and 2 baby girls... the vet was only here for the goat. he didn't say anything about the sheep.

You all aren't mad at me, are you?

Hey ladies! I am gone for two days and there are 30 pages!! I can't keep up! So...what did I miss? I spent Monday afternoon at my parents house converting a shipping crate into a brooder box. I am going to see if I can get some picture up in a minute.

You didn't miss much. Get those pics up!

Here is my new brooder box! Ducklings are not in it yet. I have a test-bulb in there right now to see if I can get the temps up. It fits two big bins. I know it won't be the best when they are bigger, but as I sell some of the babies I can divide the rest in the two bins and not have such a stinky mess quite so quickly! The bins are so easy to take out and clean!

That looks great! Also puppy pads covered with a thin layer of shavings is what I've found to be the easiest to clean up. Every 3 days just fold up the puppy pad in the corners and it all comes out together.

DG its not that we are mad at you persay..
its that when people cant handle the animals they have they cut back WAY BACK not add to..
we all understand that you are younge and you are learning but to learn the hard way on that large of a scale is heart breaking.
we also understand that they are YOUR MOTHERS RESPONABILITY not yours...
its more we wish we could help more and we are stuck right here on a computer and not much help but give you advice to carry on to your mother and as a mother i know i take some and ignore some.. so its frustrating..
MAD AT YOU.... NO!!!!
