Spray. I'd clean it with some antseptic spray like 70 said, then cover it with blu kote to keep anyone from bothering it more.

At least once they start rocking they come out a whole lot faster than ducks. I'd be watching for your duccles to start pipping tomorrow night or friday. They might take a whole 21 days, but sometimes they come earlier.

So I am only on page 810 but I just have to say that is hysterical. I had a coworker ask me that too and then "what is an egg", but not like she had never seen or eaten eggs before.
OK good. Not to many other "non-urban" people. You should see some of the looks I get when I start talking chicken around here. LOL. Or my personal favorite question: "So you don't have a rooster? How do your chickens lay eggs then?"

Is that a bite? Looks like it is just behind the wing. I'd clean it up and put something antiseptic on it. Poor Squishy.
She got a bath tonight and I cleaned it all up. It looks like the new feathers have been ripped right out of her. What kind of aniseptic can I put on it?

BTW: Squishy was named for you 70

I heard you are getting more snow up there tomorrow too. We are supposed to get a lot of rain in the next couple of days (N. California). For us it looks like winter might actually be here finally.
Well been crazy here ! TONS of snow (we live in WA where if we are lucky we get a couple inches) Then it melts by the afternoon. We have power outages, HUGE limbs breaking due to snow weight, we got 18" + of snow in one night !!!

beautiful
CONGRATS on the WA eggs! I can't wait to see what you hatch! & I live in WA because I don't like the snow! (I mean its pretty) I like it when it falls then melts away! They are saying we are going to get hit agaon with another blizzard!

I took some Pics of our RiverBank & Our backyard
