Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

The seller of the Sebbies is the same woman I got my Lav Orps from. 2 were clear and 4 were quitters.

I'm blaming this on my bator that broke, but it is still in the back of my mind.

Sorry I keep posting.. this is where I think out loud and don't have to answer myself.

I got my humidity up to 60 so I'm feeling better about the Sebbies. 3 hours to go.. and they're at 10 bucks. :)

Ok, I'm done.

QJ, I am treating it like a science project, and if a gosling hatches, then that is a major bonus. But, I did go ahead and get extra eggs for better odds. And now I am debating on getting a second LG as I do not have a lot of confidence in our homemade bator.

By the way, do you want Sebbies or geese in general?

x2
If you get 2 sebbie ganders though, maybe I'll end up with 2 african geese and we can make curly feathered africans.

SM, why are you going cold turkey off pain meds and caffeine at the same time??!! That sounds miserable!!

Curly feathered africans.... ewwwww... that doesn't sound like a good cross. However, I love the look of my african/toulouse crosses.

Just the Sebbies really. Until I get moved and have more space. My grandpa had a few geese to "protect" his ducks.

ETA: I was going to say also, I'll look at it like an experiment. Good idea. Except for a get attached to my waterfowl eggs. (Not so much the chickens.)
