RG: you know I'm in love with your birds! I was just thinking I should set a few goose eggs from my chinese girl and her pom boyfriend. I haven't seen them mating, so I don't know if the eggs are fertile or not.
Wow! 500! I want to hatch some goosies too!The gosling pics are so cute!!! I am excited to hatch goslings, too! Ember is my only goose laying now, but her eggs are not fertile. My Africans should start laying any day now and my dewlaps should start up by the end of February. I was crunching numbers this morning and realized I could get upwards of 500 goose eggs this spring.![]()
Positive vibes for your court fight. You shouldn't have to go through a huge hassle after everything you've already been through.I know I didin't get to eat my big turkey! Two huskies got into the yards, and killed 4 geese, dozens of ducks, three turkeys, and all my chickens. We're doing the court thing now. They owe me over 2 grand.
I hope somebody got theirs.

Of course you meant his beak. We all know that the other thing pecker could be in reference to is called a PEE PEE around here, lmbo. They are my only breeding turkeys, anyway. We love them too! Wish your boys could show mine which end to point his pecker at though. LOL (UH HUH< his beak....)
Yesterday was a busy, and stressful day for me....
I'd started jogging/walking every morning after feeding all the critters, well the other day I seriously messed up my right foot and now I cannot even walk. It's awful. I am now crippled and cannot get around without hopping! LOL Anyway, that is how I started my day, then a friend of ours had a baby, so we went to town and saw them, and along the way we delivered 6 ducklings, a rooster, and two chicks. We got back about 11:00 AM, then I made my evening rounds and locked everyone up. I found some new hatchlings in the incubator, this morning there was 7 new baby chicks. I have ducklings due in a couple days as well.
Anywho, TSC called me this morning and said the three green houses I ordered had come in last week and they needed me to pick them up. SO, I'll be going to town to pick those up in a couple'o days. I still need to get a few things to finish my duck and goose yards. I bought a bunch of cattle panels to use for my fences, and the geese, ducks, and chickens can all slip right through the bars.....so I'm gonna cover them with welding wire about 2-3' up. Busy, busy, busy!![]()
Snapped this picture the other night. I decided to keep this duckling, he was actually going to be sold yesterday but I changed my mind and kept him. Seriously, who could part with this cutie patootie? Not me....![]()

I think she means pee pee. Go back and read about the poor, confused boy!I think it's ridiculous that you have to still fight to get your reimbursement after all you've gone through. Stupid irresponsible people!![]()
That's a lot of goose eggs. I should get a few this year, but having no gander I plan on blowing them out and using them to make Easter decorations. Love hatching the little things, so am thrilled to have a few goose eggs coming this way in the spring. Next year, still nowhere close to 500 but I'll be happy with hatching half a dozen or so anyway.![]()

Sweet little baby. Is that a cute little chocolate duck? I love your chocolate girl.![]()
Jaz-don't know why my quote didn't show up. Gorgeous pics!
Baby is coming along. She walk on a foot and a knee know, but I guess that's progress. She's eating a lot more for sure. She and the goats are side by side in the their barn pens. I'm ready for spring, I think when she swims a lot, she'll get the other leg under her correctly.
My male turkey is so dumb, I wonder he can breath. ROFLMAO.
So, state was back to retest a chicken flock that had very mild form of AI a month ago. Everyone else was ok. So, while they were here (and they are very nice freindly folks) my midget white turkey hens kept squatting in front of them. I guess they love the white suits. Anyway, while they are hunkered down, the white tom climbs on top, and attempts to mate. again. He's new, spring hatch, and inexperienced. I understand. That said, he tried her head. He tried both her wings, several times. In fact, he's so bad at it, and so comical, that DH calls it his Mexican Hat Dance. Insofar as I am aware, he has not succesfully worked out how you do this yet. We almost hurt ourselves laughing at him today. They are so darn friendly though, that the "show" was about 18" behind out feet, so if you weren't careful, you'd tripping over almost mating turkeys.
Its hysterical. The hens just sit there until they get tired of him turning around on top of them over and over, and just stand up, he falls, they leave. Then, he stands there another minute, sort of practicing. It's been like this for a week or so now.![]()
He will get better, right???
