Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Well I am using a 30 gallon aquarium that is currently on it's side. I found a weird article on how to make a incubator out of an aquarium. I have 3 lights in there, and a heat mat. I also opened the lid on my 95 gallon aquarium in the same room so it will increase my overall humidity in the air. Besides that I'm close to the beach so we have naturally more humid air. (Prob at 70%) None of the other eggs have externally pipped yet. Also the door of my incubator is a smaller opening panel in the front instead of the top, so the humidity still lingers around in there when the door opens. :)

Good luck! Looking toward to pictures!

I have 7 ducklings that are one week old I know that one is a boy for sure but I already have a drake which is his dad but I was wondering if I do keep him will he and the other grade fight I have 3 ducks so if I keep him will i also have to keep more ducks ( maybe 2 or 3 ) also if he mates with his mum will that affect the ducklings because I know that inbreeding in other animals can cause the babies to have defects but he is my favourite so I would like to keep him if I could and I forgot to mention the ducklings are cayugas as well as the mum and dad plus i have 2 Mascovy ducks

Hey all! It's been quiet in here with everyone shutting down bators.

My boss had a mama runner duck hatch 8 sweet babies last week. Will post some photos if she would ever post them so I can steal.

I'm having all kinds of duck drama. I have a prolapsed Saxony drake that's giving me fits. I've pushed his pee-pee back in three days in a row now, then I put him back in solitary and the next thing you know, he shakes his tail until he shakes it out again. I'm getting frustrated because it's a perfectly healthy pee-pee other than the fact it won't stay where it belongs. I don't want to snip unless I have to and I really don't want to have to eat this beautiful boy, but this doesn't bode well for future breeding.
