So....I learned what zip is from this post.....what does pip mean....I think I know....is it when they make the hole?....but how do you know exactly when the inner pip and outer pip happens. I wish someone would make up a very detailed hatching guide...that explains all the terms. I know there is another term that I keep reading and wanted to know what it was exactly....can't remember right now what it is.

Pip is the initial hole and zip is them pipping in a 360 degree fashion around the top of the egg. Then they pop the top off. My problem is, most never make it to the pip. But the 2 that did, couldn't zip after that. It's so weird.

Okay I made an executive decision, I brought in hot wet towel Laid it right beside incubator, ever so quickly open incubator use my tweezers I'm just picked it up off his nostrils and pushed up to the top of egg. He was pushing with his beak when did it. He seems happier now. No drop in anything. I feel better now.
