Excuse the mess, I haven't been able to clean the nestbox off for awhile because of the broodie, but here are chick pics.

I've decided to keep the lil silkie x. I'm posting the res and white chick, 4 of my pullets and a couple of my older hens on craigslist. Also one of my roos, if I find anyone that wants one in case little chick is a boy. Then I'll have room to get a few more ducks once I'm ready to hatch and brood some. Ducks are messier than chickens, and I don't want more to do than I have already so I've decided to only get one duck for every 2 chickens I sell. Plus that leaves a little room for error in case I get chick fever in the spring.

I hope since momma is raising the baby she won't mind being an only chick.

. I still have some time yet I have to go till the 14th so I have a ways to go yet. I went ou to the ducks today and Mr. Jonny is mean to Sofia, my Cayuga, just like Rudy was. Why are they mean to her, because she is black? If he keeps it up. No matter how handsome he is, he will go bye bye if he is really mean to poor Sofia.
