and the other egg died. So I have three chicks and one hatching, and three yet to come out.... Right pics.... Right. Lol! Oh and congrats on selling the birds guys!

Everybody is selling babies and I am still waiting for eggs to hatch. I candled tonight and they are moving all over the place. Can't see much except movement and some veins here and there. The air cells are weird shaped of course they were weird shaped from the beginning. One of them has the normal circle and then it has almost another circle connected to the main one but its off to the side. One that I checked tonight was moving and jumping. It looked like it was trying to puncture the membrane to get into the air sack. Hatch date is in one week, December 14. It can't be going through to the air sack yet can it?

Lavenders, blacks, splashes, and blues. only two of her lavender hens were laying, so I couldnt get many eggs from those. I got three of those though. Didnt really care what colors they were as long as they werent buffs.

How old are your chicks? Sometimes it can take them a day or two to get their legs figured out and held straight.

I'm not a fan of the buffs either. Kinda boring.

I just candled my 2 duck eggs. 1 is due the 14th (I think) with SM. And the other one is the last lone egg I found after Edward's passing. It could have been out there for 2 weeks, I'm not sure. Anyway, it's veining VERY nicely. If it hatches it will be Edward's last offspring. I kinda miss him. The girls are still lost without him.

I had eggs wobbling quite a lot a week before the hatch date. So don't worry too much about that

I think that it's normal for the air cell to be as you describe it, SM, with the 'extra' bit. I know exactly what you mean - I've seen it myself. Again, I would not worry.

So glad to be back. This Christmas party with the 4h girls was special. It's my last year with them.

Well Jonny the Appleyard might have to go byebye. I went out today to visit my duckies. And he grapped Sofia, my Cayuga, and was biting her chasing her away, just being terrible to her. I grabbed him by the throat and shook the crap out of him and told him he was going to be the neighbors Thanksgiving dinner if he wasn't careful. He didn't listen. He chased her as I was leabing. Grrrrrr.
