Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

My one egg looks funny. It looks blobby and dark. But the baby is moving. And the air cell is small. And there's a funny blood line forming at the top of the egg, which is bad I know, but I can't tell if it's a bad line or a funny vein...I can't explain it.

I don't see how this duck will be ready in 4 days. It should be much bigger.

The other egg is doing fine. I don't know when it's due because I forgot to write it down. Honestly, I didn't think it would really form. It was covered in mud and had been out there for awhile.

Jonny is nice to the other 2 girls. Rudy wasn't nice to the Cayuga either though. I don't know if its the color of her or what it is. He is so pretty though. I took some of the eggs out of the nest today so I could get them warmed up and when the incubator is empty and cleaned I could put them in and see how they go.

Peeps sounds like a momma's (DG) boy. You will never be able to get rid of him/her

I have 2 that have a yellow ring, like the yolk sac broke or something but the babies are moving around big time. Increase your humidity since its a small air cell. Spray the inside of the incubator to bring it up. Do you have anything down in the incubator over the wire? I have this shelf lining stuff on mine and it helps hold the water in.

Yes I need to go raise the humidity. I'll do that now. I noticed it had dropped to 55ish. I have nothing down on the wire.. I need to get some shelving stuff to put down in there.
