Guys I need help. Im getting four silkie chicks next week. I need help on colors! I dont want buffs, or whites. And I dont want blues either since my mom is getting them. So I can get either blacks, or splashes, or both! Should I get 2 of each, or just 4 of one color?!

Silkies are sooo cute... but how do you keep them clean? my wyandotte always seems to have a dirty bottom. She was filthy when I first got her so I gave her a bath (not a pleasant experience for either of us). That is the nice thing about ducks... they love to bathe themselves

My little blue silkie with spraddle leg died last night.

I think the other chickens trampled it to death. I had it seperated but one of the bigger chickens must have knocked down the little wall I had up. Poor little chicken. She was doomed, but I was doing everything to keep her comfortable till something got her.

Kinda sad. She was sweet.
