yes i do i adopted a few lav orphs and i though i have 40 chickens no way will he notice 5 more well the next night he came up to me and said where'd you get the new chickens
i played dumb like hu what are you talking about there arent any new chickens.. hes like um yea there are 5 new one

Im hopeing my lav orp is a hen

her sisy (or brother) died

im also hopeing my blue is a hen. (turns out I have 1 lav 1 blue and 3 black

)

i have one blue one lav one splash and a splash roo and i think the other lav i a roo also

they should be laying sometime in march

ETA: He's concerned for the neighbors. But I told him they are bannies so they are smaller birds. The smaller the bird the quieter the crow... so don't worry.

bantams are nothing compared to a great big barred rock who crows NIGHT AND DAY!!!! im about to shoot it one more night of crowing and he will be in my stew pot!! i might have to hatch out some barred rock eggs for another more quiet rooster.

I'm still getting over the fact that DG doesn't care for us.

Rouens and Mallards have the same pattern as ducklings. That duckling is mallard/Rouen pattern with one dose of blue. That's my guess anyhow. Time will tell

They are all looking fantastic. Really healthy. A credit to you, SM!

How miserable to be sick and sleepless at Christmas.

Had my work Christmas lunch today and I'm slightly tipsy. Came home after a huge lunch and ate potato chips, cake and icecream. Feel ill now.
