some birds are just dedicated layers.
or maybe he has been giving them artificial light .
either way pretty birds.

I should probably see where he is located. It's just mallards are seasonal. But they do what they want I guess.

He's in TX, it's warmer and they lay earlier there.
The goose eggs were packaged pretty good, wrapped in a few layers of bubble wrap and then in a box of packing peanuts (the styrofoam kind, not the chick kind lol). They are resting now, I'll put them in tonight and not turn them until tomorrow.
If they don't hatch, I'll just get my geese from ideal like I planned. I could always add a couple snowy mallards on my order too...
Forgot to add, I think they had duck eggs a few days ago on there, mallards/snowy mallard/ and call all together so you might want to email them and ask how long they've been seperated out. I remember it because I wanted the call eggs, but was scared I'd end up with all mallards instead so I didn't bid.

No, I'm not. You go for it. I have to be conservative til my husband gets on the new pay schedule. (new job). So basically, I have to be good for another week.

But swapping is a good plan, I can send you some from the ones I just bought to mix it up a little. That was my plan with getting theirs. Although they are pretty much PERFECT as they are.

Did you see their sunflowers? Beautiful.

For some reason, I just think of everyone being in Kansas City. I know it's dumb. Texas makes much more sense.

I can't wait to see what happens with those geese. There is another 99 center on there. I have it in my watch list. I'm obsessed with Ebay! What's the deal?!

Where are you? Somewhere on the west coast I assume?

It might be 12:30 here, but I'm on my 3rd cup of coffee. (oops).

I will probally be outbbid anyways, unless I go halfsies with Teressa, she wants them to. Maybe I will hatch & we will split the chicks? MAYBE they won't go as high as last time

I currently have 3 Lavender orp chicks & one white orp chick. So we will see.

Besides nothing or no one is perfect in my book ~ there is always room for improvement. When you stop trying to do better what else do you have to strive for??

I sure hope they don't go as high as last time. Good grief! 62 bucks! It will be fun to watch though and see, so I have them in my watch list.

The green flecks in his head are showing up white in the pic. The thing about Bunsen is he never went through an ugly phase. He feathers are very uniform. I hope that makes sense.

My big girl, Rosalee, is trying to seperate Bunsen from Beaker, and REALLY wanting him to take notice of her. If I didn't already suspect that he was a boy from physical clues, I would definitely suspect he was a boy just from the attention she is showing him.

It's crazy.

Bunsen of course really doesn't know what she's trying to get him to do.

How old until the "male drive" kicks in? I'm trying to remember with Edward. Seems like it was around 6 or 7 months, and overnight.
