My mom doesn't have it in her to put them down.... Plus we don't own a gun...

if i tried for a boy........... id have 8 girls and with 3 girls all 2 years aparts scares me to death PUBERTY!!!
i threw up a little..

my husband is in a family with 6 boys then adopted a girl
my family has 8 girls and 3 boys.... yeah not even going there..
with extrems like that i have no chance... we looked into adoption but then started to talk to my husband and with all the constant attention i have to pay to my "middle" to make sure she feels special is hard work..
to add a boy to the mix would be worse i think.
both me and my husband have two brothers and middle child syndrom is HORRABLE in both our familys so i work double time to make sure faythe mine doesnt feel unwanted at ALL..

Ha! Yes, I don't want a middle child, part of the reason for 4. And I also want a boy... badly. 3 girls now, 3 proms, 3 drama queens, 3 weddings, 3 with boys I'll have to threaten and try to chase away...

But I tell people when we go for #4, God is going to say, "Hey Moses come here!... This girl wants a boy... she has 3 girls already... this is gonna be good.. I'm gonna give her twin girls.. " (Cue Moses and God laughing hysterically.)

4 is a really great number! Nice and even!

Very true! I think we're up to 17 nieces and nephews on my husbands side now.

I originally wanted NO kids, so I've went above and beyond that.

After my kids are older and not such a pain in the you know where, I might see about becoming a foster parent though. With my kidney thing I think it's just too hard on my body. My kids kept coming earlier and earlier because of that. I've had a 36 weeker, 35, 37, and 33 in that order. My oldest had major health problems when she was born and had surgery and spent a month in the hospital before coming home, my second oldest dies a few weeks after birth, and my youngest was healthy but a tiny peanut and had to get big enough to come home. Miss Cara was the only healthy baby who got to come home with me. That just barely happened, she was only 5 lb and had to be monitored for blood sugar problems because of rh- antibodies. Having babies scares and stresses me out way too much.
