Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

On the egg packing thing... I have received 3 dozen duck eggs, each from separate places. Two were individually wrapped in bubble wrap and then packed in peanuts and/or bubble wrap. The 1st had very fertile eggs, but i managed to kill all but one in the 1st week. The other set of eggs only had 1 of 12 develop. The 3 rd one wrapped the eggs in plastic grocery store bags and packed in newspaper. The shipper packed 14 and 2 broke, but 11 of the 12 I set are developing great!

Busy trying to clean the house and keep the kids from destroying it. Having people over tomorrow for baby's cake and ice cream, would like it to be halfway clean still then.

I have been trying to keep busy all day by cleaning house, cleaned the outside duck area, cleaned the baby duck's area 2 times today. Just trying to keep busy because of these withdrawals. It was BAD this morning. I have never felt like this before.

My calls came packed in cartons surrounded by sawdust, wrapped in bubble wrap, and packed in newspaper. 2 were cracked slightly, have about half still going.
My geese both came wrapped in bubble wrap individually. The 2 developing (out of 4) were in packing peanuts in the box. The others were packed more tightly with peanuts and were clears.

Julie, if your goose eggs hatch, you will become our hatching expert. Be ready for lots of questions from sm and me. :)

I'm already attached to these little guys, lol. I talk to them when I take them out and mist and cool them.

Couple more days of it and I will feel much better. Going off pain pills and no caffeine at the same time wasn't the best thing to do. I talked to the doc today though and she said to call her at any hour if I need to talk to her. I didn't think the pills were in my system that heavy.

Shoot, I still need to read your post on the goose eggs. What do I need to do with them? I put them in today around noon and have turned them 2x today. Where is that post you had about the goose eggs? Is it on the Incubation forum?
