Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I keep finding myself on Ebay looking at all the eggs, even though I've got enough going to be taking up brooders in my incubator. I don't even want to be thinking about the mess I'll have to clean in 3 or so weeks, with my older ducklings, quail, calls, and geese. I think once my geese hatch I might put some of my EE's eggs and some silkie/cochin eggs to hatch out some cute chicks. It'll be close to spring by the time they hatch. I started looking for new chicks in February last year and could hardly find any, so I'll hatch out a few to sell to impatient people like me, lol.

I good luck selling all mine. And I wasn't even trying to sell them all! Of course it gave me more room to hatch more. I love looking at all the different breeds on Ebay. It's fun to see what things are popular.
I'm excited about your little gooseys.

Those are the ones I missed on Ebay. I don't like this bidding system though. People are getting upset with the whole ending time because we're all on different time zones.

Well, 8 pm EST would be 7 pm Central, 6 pm Mountain and 5 pm Pacific. I would think if I (Pacific) put in a bid at 4:55 and no one else outbid me in the next 5 minutes, I would win. But maybe there are a few bugs

in the system.

I read a thread where someone was saying their computer said they made the high bid right at closing but the seller gives it someone else. I think it's just more buggy with no Constant time being kept.

Well, you can set the time on your computer and if you are off +/- I can see how it could happen. Ebay has the countdown, which everyone sees at the same time, so technically, it would be much more accurate. (And you can still get outbid at the last second!

) I wonder if BYC is looking into something like that. WAY over my technical abilities. LOL

Exactly. I heard they were working on something similar but it would take awhile to implement. I might bid on those chocs though.. If it ends 8:00 EST what time is that CST? Would that be 7 or 6 ?
