No. WAY further than that. Like 3/4ths down the egg. I'm tellin' ya it's crazy! I do see veins, but no movement.

Good morning, hatching friends. Today is day 22 and all of my frisky duck eggs are well. This morning, I can see my most ambitious egg's aircell is dipping and shadowy movement in the air cell when I look into shell at the fat end. He was working hard last night with his beak pressed against membrane, so I'm thinking he is going to internally pip today? My ancona looks to only be at about day 23 development, but it sure likes to move a lot. I am a little concerned that the air cells in most of my eggs look too small, so I let the humidity down to 45% and am watching air cells carefully for change now.

I have 2 pips! I was hoping to have a couple chicks this morning, but I have 2 REALLY good pips... So I'm okay with that. Boy do they want out of that egg.

Yay!! Keep us posted! I'm not sure I would have dropped the humidity down though.

It is sitting steady at 45% humidity and I just dropped the temp from 100 to 99. I'm trying to convince my ambitious egg to slow down and give the other guys a chance to catch up. Lockdown is not scheduled until Tuesday.

You think I should leave it at 100 degrees & 50-55%??

I don't want to tell you what to do. You know your bator better than anybody. I just get so nervous right at this time!! I'm sure you know what I'm talkin' about! Once one pips I'd get the humidity back up.
