Cull pertains to removing the bird from the breeding program, and not selling it in such a way to make another think they now have a breedable bird.
Culling here usually ends a roosters life, and selling the cull hens to egg laying only flocks. Sometimes cull hens go into our egg laying flock for selling eggs.
Think I should get these ?![]()

Speaking of culling, I was out making sure everyone was locked up and I have a silkie with a bald back. Guess my rooster needs to go. I had a BO with a bald back, I sold her and her sister thinking it was maybe because the BO was a hoochie who squatted everytime my roo walked by. Well, I'm not selling my silkie. Aprons are a pain, I'm not dealing with trying to keep one on her. So, since he's just going to be like that I think him and hormone boy drake need to go. They've even been bickering with each other. I won't process anymore birds myself, unless they are super easy like the quail. I need to try to find somewhere around here to take them to to have it done.
Just candled everyone. The call eggs left are all doing great, the geese are still alive, I'm happy.
