My ancona pipped! So now 8 have pipped. 3 are still working hard at pipping and 1 is either seriously lagging behind or quit.

A few have 2 pips and 1 is working hard at turning the pip into an actual hole.... can't wait to see its beak poke through!!

Yes on the Appleyards. I have 6 out of 8 developing VERY well. I'm so happy with the eggs he sent me. I think his name was DPRather.

Are those the EBay Silver Appleyard eggs? If so his stock is wonderful, we hatched our flock from his eggs. Now just waiting for them to start laying. Today I will be removing the drakes that are extra and letting them run one of the goose yards to bug.

We have new Sebastopols arriving next week! So looking forward to adding them in. They are 2010 hatches and are a very lovely pair to be adding in.

Secured our American eggs for hatching this year, getting a few Sebbie eggs from another breeder to hatch and add additional bloodlines to our group.

Might Craigslist our Rouen flock (5g 1b), I really prefer the buffs (3g 1b) and Khaki(4g 1b) small flocks we have. Hubby has his SA's (2g 1b) and white Scovy(2g 1b). I would love to reduce by one flock. The Rouens came because a family couldn't keep them and were desperate for a home, they lay well, but it's just one more run in my mind that could be put to better use.

SM: You're gonna have to try a little harder to offend me sista. It takes a lot! Drink plenty of water with lemon juice. The first 3 weeks are the hardest with withdraws. So you're almost there. And also, why did your Dr. have you quit cold turkey on the morphine. That was stupid.


How is everybody's eggies doing? Mine have internally pipped now, but that's about it.

I'm driving to Sydney tonight to help someone with their chicken pen. They need to build a platform to raise it up because it keeps getting flooded. Should be fun. I'm leaving straight after work. Building day is tomorrow. Hope for sunny weather for me!!!

I am going to pass on the appleyards. I am sticking with my Cayugas, Anconas, & Muscovies. The apples take to long to grow out for the oven. Maybe later if I want to try something new.

But I should be getting my Lemon Blue Cochins, Laced Cochins, Anconas, & Muscovies any day now & a crazy purebred mix I just picked up on ebay!

I am putting a couple hundred jumbo coturnix quail in the bator, Have a guy who wants 100 quail. I also have My cochins sold! Will be putting in another 60 turkey eggs, another 7 Embden Goose.

Will be busy really soon!
