Best of luck, QJ! The 8th ducky is almost hatched out. The 9th one pipped on the wrong end, but is still working its way out of the shell. We may assist it after the 8th one is out. Eggs 10 & 11 never externally pipped. We checked them and they were both at the wrong end too.

First 3 duckies are in the brooder. They are eating, drinking and getting their legs under them fast.

Awesome news!! I think that's where mine went wrong too. I couldn't find a beak. (Made a hole at the top and looked in. I couldn't go much further than that without losing my lunch.)

Ok, I just opened my "Crafting Eggs" and just about laughed my butt off.

BTW: Those are the biggest eggs I've ever seen! Not that I thought they would be small, but they are really big!

The postman had them sitting up in the front seat with him. He said he hopes they are okay. LOL.

I only opened the inside box and placed them in a safe place. I don't like to handle them too much. I know, I'm weird. I'm nervous touching them. My biggest fear is that I'll drop one.

Um... guys? One of these chicks looks like a Blue laced, but the other.... well, kinda looks like a white chick with a lavender stripe down the center of it's back. Hmmmmmm. It will be interesting to see it fluffed up.

The 8th has hatched... and we have begun helping the last one. He is full of energy and chirping... but he can't seem to turn to zip. Hope it makes it!

I thought the same thing about my ancona.... hubby keeps calling it a peking. But as it dries, I am seeing some color around eyes, and some speckledness in the legs.

Nevermind, I did some research and it's a Blue laced red wyandotte splash. I didn't know that existed. Wonder what all the genetics are behind that.
