Here's my philosophy. Hatching makes me happy. My birds make me happy. If I can handle it, I'm doing it.I REALLY like Pidgey's eggs... and they are only $20 for a dozen shipped. Don't tempt me!

o and what kind of chick starter do you guys use?
grandma is freaking out bcuz she read that medicated chick starter is bad.
but i have read its ok now a days.
so im kind of torn bcuz i can;t find unmedicated in our local feed stores.
i have 1 more to check tho next time im in indianna
that sucks for u.Snow snow every where! !!!
I think if you use chick starter you need to supplement with niacin or the ducklings may develop leg problems. I use gamebird starter for everyone for the first 2 weeks, then cut the starter with oats/rice/scratch/corn/etc for the correct protein percentage for everyone, and supplement with oyster shell for older birds. It's easier for me then buying different bags of food for everyone.
Must hatch, must hatch..... Buy those eggs, must hatch.![]()
Jst sold our Rouen flock today. Will deliver them to their new next Saturday after the owner comes back from out of town. They will be his only flock with a large coop and attached run (predator proof) and a large pond to swim on.
