Geese sounds frustraiting. I usually ship or receive eggs in cartons sized to the egg, and stuffed around it and shoved into another box. My shipped egg hatch rate is only about 50-60% for turkeys, but the quial fair better.

Maybe the egg size (more mass pressing on air sac) has an influence here. Hmm... How do they pack goose eggs for shipping, anyway?

In my opinion, they are better hatchers than anything else. Corturnix are a close second. (opinioin only folks)

but I think that WH that I have left is really a goner. Should I wait alittle longer or take it out? I also worry about my own eggs having such small air cells but everybody is moving around in the eggs.

I try and stand all of my eggs air cell up wrapped individually in bubble wrap with padding between. All in a small interior box, the more padding around it in a larger box. Sometimes eggs will shift and not be perfectly upright, but I do my best to stand them up.

I was thinking of getting some of those. Hmmmmm.

I got some Saxony off of Ebay from a ByC'er and All 11 have development. 1 was broken.

Now I think 2 are going to become blood lines. But for now All 11 are fertile and growing.


ETA: And ya know, now that I think about it.. Those were all shipped air cell up as well. In that little plastic egg carton thingy. Hmmmmm....
