SM- You and I have been battling this since page one of the thread. Some day we'll figure out the exact method needed.
Like Celtic said, we're trying to mimic nature so we're not going to perfect it. Even though we'll keep trying. LOL.

And if you think about it, how many clutches really hatch under a broody hen? I mean there are always extras that don't make it for whatever reason. It's not like ducks and chickens have a 100% hatch rate. So we're doing pretty good.

I bumped my humidity to 65-70 and I guarentee you I will have to help a shrink wrapped baby. I don't get it.

i wish there was just an exact sience to it that everyone agreed on (including the eggs)
so no one would lose babies that way.

i had a weird dream lastnight . (just goes to show im catchin the hatchin fever)
i dreamed i candled my call eggs (in the other room before putting them in the incubator)
and the eggs had veins and moving babies.
and then i went out to check the broody and she had way more than 5 duckling running around her.

i'm losing it, big time.

haha and my babies are gettin so big you can barely seen in the egg its worrying me bcuz i can barely see anything and its hard to see when they move.
but the still move a little for me to let me know they are there.
8 more days till lockdown.

me to! But it will probably be sent to evelle lol... Im not sure if she wants hers now, or if she wants to wait til the welshies are laying. If she doesnt want them now should I save them for you?! Im sure these will be fertile! since the fertile one in my bator was the last one she laid...

That's funny. I had a dream about eggs too, I just can't remember it. I just remember having one. Something today will trigger my memory.

I hate that stage of candling. Where it's like.. not as clear. But they're good.

I know Evelle is in line before me. I'm totally cool with that!! She needs more babies before me.
