any one else have any hatches today?

i am soooo excited lock down is in one week and then i will have a 1 1/2 of hatching and then i will clean out the bators and get ready for the easter hatch-along!

who else is doing it? i just got my eggs locked in i am doing silkies and a barnyard mix!!!!!

i also candled last night and took out my duds 12 welshies (half of my order), 1 goosie (out of 3 not too bad), and 1 Mutt (almost 1/2 my order was smashed when it got here) died before they did any growing

it was heartbreaking to throw all those eggs out

Except for I don't know what I'm hatching. Still trying to decide! Oh wait! I can save some Ancona girl eggs as part of the deal.

I think you need 20 eggs minimum to be in the contest part.

QJ- I remember seeing a cl ad for some by me awhile ago. If you want, if you can find the ad and if they still have eggs I'll pick them up for you and meet you at tsc with them.
I'm only on day 3 with the duck eggs, and can see a very faint heart in all 10 of them. I pulled 5 of them out of the refrigerator too, and they had been in there a few days. I didn't just want to hatch a couple, and figured I might as well try. Maybe I should pull a few more and try just for science's sake. They've been in there around 2 weeks.

I can hatch mostly quail, but unless I get a girl or two out of my older babies and they start laying by then I probably can't get 20. If I have a silkie roo by then I can hatch silkies if they are laying, and silkie mutts if not I guess. If I don't have a roo I'll try to find some silkie eggs.
