I fell asleep last week (while the babies were napping) and woke up 5 mins until I had to pick up the 3rd grader. oops! Totally made it on time BTW.

But the weird thing is.. I fell asleep sitting up! Haven't done that since I was pregnant!

Wait a sec....

I wouldn't mind another baby of the non-duck persuasion, but Im way more tired of throwing up than diapers! I only gained 3 lbs max in a pregnancy. UGH! If your too sick, and don't pee, they put you on an i.v.

So, I hatch ducks! I had to go borrow my moms ancient round hova-bator to use as a hatcher, and it doesn't keep temp well. Woke up this morning, mid quail hatch, and the temp was at 92!!! havn't had another baby since, but they wern't due until tomarrow, so maybe...

Otherwise, only got a few out of 30 eggs!

I put in 12 Giant peking eggs today, and they are so big that I can only fit one into every other space in my duck egg turner. Hope they hatch good! Also put in another 24 quail eggs. I'm thinking about ordering another new hovabater with the didg. thermostat and fan and turners. I've got more eggs coming, and I can't trust my moms for more than 4 hours without checking it, and my good hova is full. (ok, theres room for like 4 more eggs, max!

I was REALLY sick with my oldest I vomited from the time I woke up to the time I went to bed in the hospital air least once a week for dehidration vomiting blood and migraines!!! By the time the third came doc told me to take a half of unisom and a vitamin d supplament at night only time I was sick was when I forgot to take it!!! Amazing! I'm doing great besides the fact mother nature decided to melt all the snow just to dump three feet in two days!!! That beach is a tease grrrr!!

Totally done with human children here. Days like yesterday make me comfortable with that decision.

So I've got my hatching eggs, my flock of duckies, my garden and the farm to keep my mothering urge busy...

Uh-oh. It just occurred to me that I put all the poultry feeders and waterers into the dishwasher to disinfect before the hatchlings start coming.

And I think of this as I hear hubby open the dishwasher. I could feel his puzzlement a room away...
