Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Hi everyone! I'm joining this thread, as it seems the place to go for continuous advice/encouragement. My ancona eggs are at the end of day 28 and I haven't seen any of them wiggle all day. I'm sitting right next to the bator, going through boxes, so I'm keeping a really close eye on them. 5 of the 6 stopped rocking about 2 days ago. The other was rocking late last night, but I haven't seen anything at all today. I want to POKE HOLES in ALL OF THEM so they can BREATHE!! I don't see any movement in them at all, anymore and I'm VERY, VERY worried!!

I've got BYC minimized while I'm checking out new incubators. I've been showing DH pics of great cabinet style homemade incubators all day (Hes an awesome mechanic) but he doesn't seem too enthusiastic yet.

Maybe if I just order the heater, the electronic thermostat, the fans, and set the right case in front of him, he'll just do it. But then again, maybe a new hova-bator with all the bells and whistles.... (Wish I could stack them vertically)

Welcome! I'm in the process of incubating my first batch, so I'm not the one to go to for advice.

However, I hear ducklings take a whole lot longer than chickens do...

Hey, experienced hatchers, get in here and offer some better advice than I've got!

I would love a cabinet incubator, but I suspect hubby's balking at the idea because he knows I have a hard time getting rid of ducklings.

I can not go back and read all of the I am sure interesting stuff you guys have written, but it would take me way too long and I would have forgotten by the time I caught up.

Hey guys! How is everyone this evening? It has been a great day here. We moved the anconas in with the goslings and they are getting along just fine. We have the only Ancona pair for sale on hold for a very nice lady who works at our local corner store, and people are starting to ask when we will have more available. Who woulda thunk there'd be a biz for ducklings in my town. Not me!

Anywho... I am an impulsive thing and have purchased more hatching eggs. On top of what I just set in my one bator, I will get Toulouse, African and a new set of Ancona eggs by midweek. :D

By the way.. Thanks for the visuals of QJ falling asleep sitting up with laptop on eBay and hubby's puzzlement at stuff in dishwasher. Both are too funny!!
