Hey Utah or Julie or whoever:

Tell me about the disposition of ducks as opposed to geese. (when young)

Did they imprint on you guys like they are supposed to? Are they more cuddly/friendly... etc?

My observations:
Goslings are much calmer than ducklings.
Ducklings are way more food driven.
Goslings do not mind being picked up and when I sit in their pen, they like to crawl up on me to go to sleep.
Goslings like to sit in their water bowls, but don't play with water the way ducklings do.
Goslings are more expressive and interact with me more... and they cry loudly when I leave the room.

True dat! And yay on the veining! That's great!

=) im excited

so much better when they r your own eggs

I have an internal pip on a swedish flower hen!!1 for 5.

Ok, the food driven comment. That's interesting. I was hoping these would be smarter (for lack of a better word) than the ducks. My 8 yr old would LOVE for something to sit in her lap. So that would be great.

ETA: I was also hoping they didn't smell as bad and make such a complete mess of the water. Good grief. My ducks are stinky already and I JUST cleaned them out.
