We forced approx 2 polyvisol drops in its beak last night and again today. We are about to treat it again in a few minutes.
We have checked inside beak for obstructions and see nothing. I have forced beak nasal holes into water, and it sneezed the water out like normal.

Can you give me 5 minutes to consult the guru?? (She teaches at our university, and embryology and pre-vet are her speciality - but shes darn good)

Guru says "remember that infant vitamins are for human babies, not ducks. Once or twice max, they have different needs. She says if baby made it for a week, digestive tract should be functional. She suggests a soft mash (hot water and baby duck food ran through blendor), keep water up, and to limit human vitamins to 1 drop per bowl of water, not one drop per duck." She thought it would come out of it w/i 48 hours, and remember fowl are subject to virus and bacteria too, so keep it in an extra clean cage, lest it should be slupring up poopy water.

I sure hope it works. She said you could do another drop tomarrow night, but to try to limit it a bit. She thought maybe it had tummy troubles from consuming poo. (some ducks do)
