Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I am also in town but no limit that I know of on birds. There is only a nuisence law. If they stink or are too loud then I can get in trouble.

I do too and I hate it. I'm not supposed to have any roosters, and I am only allowed 15 chickens over 4 months of age, 50 chicks under 4 months of age. I have a 2 acre yard though, I could fit bunches of them and they'd still have tons of room. I do plan on keeping about 20, but most of my chickens and ducks are itty bitty, so they only count as 1/2 each. The only neighbor within 200 feet of my coop has said he doesn't mind roosters. I do keep them in a kennel covered up until 8 a.m., 9 on weekends to keep him from crowing until a reasonable hour. Did it with my parrots, so I figure it's ok for roosters, they don't seem to mind. It makes me want to just start building pens though, and getting pheasants and quail and other "aviary" birds that I can have as many as I want of.

My goodness! You guys are chatty tonight!

Welcome eye heart. Jaz told us you got eggs. I told her about my pidgey experiences, so I hope she relays it to you. I LOVE my cayugas. They are very friendly and cute!

Anyone know if DG did a float test?

I need to stop buying hatching eggs so I can afford some nice smellies for the house.

Similar situation here. My only break is my house is on State Hist. Register, and everyone kept wee beasties, so I still can. However, if they are annoying, I can have troubles. Thats why I have everything but chickens. However, I've got silkies and Eng. game eggs en route this week. We're gonna keep silkies in garage or barn, and the games in a large avarian cage. Most of my stuff is in 10 x 10 x 4" cages that we just move all over the place. Hide when we need, in the garden when there are hoppers. Works for us. Guess I'll try covering the roosters at night. Thats a good idea.

I generally get my Scentsy from my cousin but maybe one of these days I will order from you and help you hit a goal ;)

Do you need anything?? You can go to my webpage and still order from my party and have it sent to your place. You just have to pay the small fee for shipping.
