Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I think hubby likes the goose.

I could never get my hubby to do that! But he has been giving some physical therapy to Flippy Chick when I'm at work.

Wow, you all were busy chatting tonight! I'm semi caught up I think, my brains all foggy I'm so tired so I'm not sure what I read though, lol. A few more hours outside tomorrow and I'll be done though, at least until I start with their yard. When I locked them up tonight my roo was sleeping with the silkies, so I guess he's moving up in status a little bit. I need to finish building the steps in and out of and sealing a crack in the big pool and the ducks will be able to swim again. I filled the little pool with peat moss for the chickens to take dirt baths in. Oh, and my turkey laid her first egg today! I showed hubby and he asked if we could hatch it. I told him no, not unless she's been having flings with wild turkeys. The closest I've seen any is about 1/4 a mile, but I've never seen a turkey near our yard, so I really doubt it. He really wants a tom turkey, a pretty one, lol. I'm thinking about ordering some narragansette eggs for him or something. Maybe she'll set on them for me.

Finally caught up again!

So I think both chciks are still ok with the broody at the farm. I only seem to see them one at a time, so now I think my mind is playing tricks on me.

Flippy still ends up on its back a lot. Hubby's been nice and checking the fluffers when I'm at work.

Less than a week to duckies!!! I'm impatient. I keep wanting to candle. I keep telling myself to wait till Thursday...

Luckly all of our human kids are grown, but honestly they like fresh critter on BBQ also. When they're not playing with the breeders, lol

Are you taking pics of all this? Yay for the turkey egg! You need a boy!
