Yay! More cute ducklings on their way. I still have 9 more days until ld for mine. The ducklings will be 4 weeks old and outside full time, with a heat lamp by them I hope. I'm not keeping any of these hatching, so I shouldn't be brooding them for very long and should have my brooder back in time for the next hatch. I'd go nuts with everyone needing their own brooder, poor QJ! At least ducklings aren't as mean as chicks.

I really think yours is a girl. You need to vent sex her, geese are the easier than ducks for me. There have been a few ganders for sale on either the missouri or kansas fb site.

I think she is too. I tried to vent sex her for a few seconds and she got upset. But I didn't see a PEE PEE.

OH girl, it's brutal. If I hadn't got the cream legbars as big as they were.. it wouldn't be so bad. And if the weather was nice it would be FINE. But the light sussex are the meanest birds! Super nice to me.. almost too friendly, I mean with other chickens. I'm thinking if they don't stop, I'll throw them in with the big non-layers and give them a little taste of what bullying feels like.

Hi Iain... down to one goose egg due this weekend. One of them just started oozing

SAME HERE!! I think I have the cleanest brooders in the world. I have Martha Stewart brooders. So he at least can't complain about that.

OK, just to complicate things... I have a potential buyer for my house.. (that's not on the market). My mortgage woman emailed that she has someone looking for my location. So I might be showing my house with chicks in the living room and a goose in the kitchen. Just sayin.

My teenagers and toddlers are in the garage. (confined of course.) I have been taking them out in the day and in at night. That sucks.
