DG, butt pip? Oh the mental image I have. Leave it be, don't open the bator, don't touch, see if it is strong enough to get pipped and hatched, or mostly hatched on its own.

I have found that many times (not always) those chicks not strong enough to get turned and pipped and out on their own will have issues post hatch and at times not thrive. This has lead us to monitor, but not jump the gun on helping very often.

That is what I had heard. Just went and paroozed the net and found I was wrong. Seattle is extremely dryer on average per year than Forks but forks is definitely not the rainiest in the US.

are you sure about that??? Seattle is pretty rainny we go about 6 time a year and every freeking time im their its raining!!

DG, the goose eggs only need flipped 180 from X side to O side 3 times a day. Stay outta the bator girlie. There is such a thing as over messin with eggs and it will effect your hatch rates.

Evelle, yep check with your state. Many have programs and classes and such. Some require permits and want to know numbers. Here they are trying to get the numbers built back up after they all but vanished. The state DNR or fish and game is a good starting point.

isnt that crazy i would think it would be living in the north west myself i see a lot more gray skys then blue ( husband hates it we lived in AZ for a few years and every day was blue skies)
