I have heard from a couple other people that blood rings are the main issue. I would look into finding better ways to pack your eggs, this should help eliminate some of the problem. I can't wait to get your eggs. Your pics are beautiful and you have had nothing but praise on the quality of your birds.

No, I'm just going to wait. I want to spend some time with this one for awhile. And when the time is right I'll find something. Or get some more hatching eggs next year. Who knows what I'll do. I'm out of control.

Jaz, I keep checking for a reply from the ebay seller. None yet. I figure part of the fun will be the mystery, but if she knows her birds and represents that they keep to their own groups, then the odds are pretty good they would be purebred. If I hatch a giant dewlap, then YAY!! If I hatch a good sebbie, then it will sell for decent money. If it is a mutt or not so good sebbie, then they could be sold for cheap, even though they'd probably wind up as dinner. I just want to keep what very limited options I have open to get a giant dewlap baby.

I have everybody in the garage outside. That was a job right thar.

Also, my little swedish flower hen that came out grey... well, I'm pretty sure it's gonna die. It doing that hole peeping for no reason, sleeping all day, falling over not getting up... you know the deal.

AND Fiona found the mirror I put in for her. She's happy as a lark now.

AWE I need to put a mirror in for my two Embden Geese ! I still haven't named them ~
