so i kind of candles the eggs under my broody hen today .
she was out dust bathing .
it was rly light in there and i didnt have a good flashlight .
but 2 eggs were dark . so i assume they have full term ready to hatch babies in them.
2 were clear lookings. so non fertile. or died early.
and one looked half developed but once again dead.
so i should atleast get 2 duckies outa the deal maybe.

Julie - yep, I've turned many turkey eggs. I went with chocolate becasue they were so scarce. And they blend in pretty good. Of course, the midget whites I've got coming for the Easter hatch won't blend near so well.

Wish my stupid new bator would get here!

they are due this weekend.
but they were the first 5 eggs laid by the hens.
so i didnt expect much outa them.
idk which dates are which tho now bcuz the hens but rubbed off all the dates
