I see they sale a lot of ostrich eggs, but only started selling these a week ago. I'd message them and ask what makes their geese quailify as exhibition quality geese....

I don't want them. I just saw them and thought of Utah and her tolouse obsession. LOL. No geese for me! (Unless they have curly feathers.)

I am going to be squeezing them into the incubator too. Hopefully I can get a pretty blue tom with some nice penciling for hubby.

It's been abnormally quiet in here tonight. Solar flares messing with peeps internet? Or does everybody have eggs and hatchlings to deal with?

Morning all! Happy day after the hump day.

So I hadn't gotten an egg from our Lilac Sebbie goose in awhile. Last night at lock up I tossed the entire house to find a deeply hidden nest. stole them all and brought them inside. This morning was a new egg tucked nicely in a nest built in the corner. So I have 10 eggs as of this morning to prep and set again. Glad they don't seem to be nearing the end of egg laying just yet.

The newly hatched little gander is a smuggler and talker. His new owner is going to love his personality. Now to get a goose hatched to pair with him.


How are the turkey eggs coming this morning?

Who has what hatching or going into lockdown?

Saw someone posted yesterday asking about duck eggs and weight loss during incubation. Would be a good project to weigh and record weights and hatch outcome on ducks. I haven't seen a detailed record done on ducks like Pete did on Geese.

How is everyone holding up in the MO/KS area? Good grief yet another front with strong storm shown moving across.

Had a baby turkey hatch at 5 this morning. My bators are in my master closet (I'm no clotheshorse), so I heard him announcing himself. He was allready pipped last night. Here is a pic of him a few moments ago.




Nothing from the others yet, but I'm not going to worry too much yet. When I candled a couple of night ago, 3 looked promising. Hope I get one or two more.

Ironically, his brooder is the box his eggs were shipped in. Come on babies, fill 'er up!
